AC-Aquatics home of ACEL

AC East London (ACEL) is a Swim England-affiliated Masters swim club owned by AC-Aquatics. We’re purely for adults (18+) who want to race — whether you’re aiming for your first Open Meet or your next Ironman. We train with purpose, intention, and performance in mind.

I created AC-Aquatics to give swimmers more than just unstructured sets and vague direction. Too often, swimmers are left to figure it out alone — with little guidance on how to rebuild fitness or chase meaningful goals.

At AC-Aquatics, we give our swimmers purpose and coach them to unlock their full potential — with targeted, race-focused training that puts performance back at the heart of the sport.”

What is AC-Aquatics?

AC-Aquatics is a performance-focused swim coaching company founded to help Masters swimmers learn how to train with intention and race effectively, in both the pool and open water. We believe in structured, race-preparatory training that empowers each athlete to reach their personal goals.

How ACEL Fits into AC-Aquatics

AC East London (ACEL) is our Swim England-affiliated Masters Swim Club. Owned and operated by AC-Aquatics, it gives swimmers the ability to train and compete under one aligned program. Whether you want to train with us weekly or simply compete under our club name, ACEL makes that possible.

Why We Started in the year after Lockdown ended

Our Head Coach, Astrid, founded AC-Aquatics after losing her coaching career during the Covid-19 pandemic. She noticed a major gap in how Masters swimmers returned to training—often with little structure, clarity, or competitive goals. AC-Aquatics was created to bring elite-level thinking to club swimmers who wanted more.

Our Philosophy: Train to Race

At the core of our training is a simple belief: racing is a skill, and skills must be coached. We are not a fitness group — we are a performance program. Our training cycles are built around competitions, goal-setting, and progressive development.
